BEGINS SUN APR 12 / DONATE A PINWHEEL $5 EACH
Ralston House is a child advocacy center that helps children and teens who are suspected of being sexually or physically abused. April is Child Abuse Prevention month. Pinwheels will be planted all over Jefferson and Adams Counties. These blue pinwheels are a symbol of child abuse prevention awareness across the nation.
Help us support the Ralston House and care for children and teens who are suspected of being sexually or physically abused. The Mission Committee will be soliciting funds today and April 19 to sponsor pinwheels for $5 each (make checks out to Ralston House). Our garden will be up and spinning after church on the 19th. (Anyone wishing to join in the “planting” of the pinwheels is welcome to meet at the sign on Wadsworth. Bring a screwdriver for digging and something to kneel on). Our goal is to raise $500—that’s 100 pinwheels. Our generous congregation usually exceeds this goal. Each garden says to the victims: “The abuse is not your fault. We are on your side; we believe you and want to help you heal.” Let’s plant some HOPE together!
