House of Hope

Hope House is metro-Denver’s only resource providing free self-sufficiency programs to parenting teen moms, including Residential, High School & GED and College & Career Programs. Additional supportive services include parenting and healthy relationships classes, an Early Learning Program, health and wellness, financial literacy and personal growth classes as well as certified counseling, all designed to prepare them for long-term independence.

Coloradans for the Common Good

Coloradans for the Common Good (formerly IAF Colorado) brings together religious and civic organizations with the purposes of strengthening citizen leadership, developing trust across a community’s dividing lines, and taking action on community issues identified by local community leaders. CCG is addressing such issues as education, improving internet access for students, better access to school meals during the pandemic, and affordable housing.

Community Table

Community of Grace supports Community Table, formerly Arvada Food Bank, through both food donations and monetary donations. Our neighbors face food insecurity as well as homelessness. An astonishing 99.17% of the individuals who receive services from Community Table, live at less than 100% of the poverty level. Hunger remains a serious problem in Jefferson County, where 1 in 10 children live in a family that struggles with hunger. Hunger affects the way children learn and develop.

Mile High Ministries (Joshua Station)

Joshua Station serves 30 families with housing, mental health counseling, youth and adult education, job services, and life skills training. Our aim is to ensure that the families we serve are able to sustain permanent housing and never experience homelessness again in their lifetime. Our services include: GED preparation, English language instruction, basic reading, writing, and math instruction, computer skills training, and job readiness training including resume writing, completing applications, and interviewing skills. Partnerships are being developed with employers to fill job vacancies that pay at least $15 per hour and offer health insurance and other benefits.

HIV CareLink

HIV CareLink is a Christian ministry of love and hope, committed to HIV/AIDS prevention, support and education. It was founded 25 years ago to build a bridge between the Church and people affected by HIV. They provide prevention services through their Safe Project in high schools, pastoral and practical care to people living with HIV, and work to educate the church regarding HIV/AIDS. Their work is done mainly by caring Christian volunteers who wish to be involved in HIV/AIDS ministry.

REMAR Missions

REMAR’s orphanage and school in La Libertad, El Salvador is a local ministry of REMAR International a Christian organization which serves the poor in 53 countries. The orphanage is home to about 60 children, most of whom have been removed from their homes due to abuse. These children attend the Mt. Olive School which is run by REMAR staff and which has a total enrollment of over 200 children. REMAR serves these children not only with a good education but also with loving support, personal development, and spiritual nurture. Trinity has sent mission teams to La Libertad both in 2019 and 2020.

Community Transformation Ministries

Mohan and Sangeeta Tamang are natives of Nepal and have been in church-planting ministry with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) since 1988. Their approach to planting churches is to engage the local community at their places of greatest need and then to partner with other YWAM staff who live in the village to minister to the needs of the local people and share the love and good news of Jesus through word and deed.

Restoring Connections

The community based non-profit Restoring Connections, formerly known as The Center for Spirituality at Work, seeks to change lives through spiritual transformation and social justice. Its Re-entry and Soul Care programs connect incarcerated and recently released women from the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility with Soul Care providers. These trained volunteers offer women the support they need and allow them to take charge of their future. The volunteers are a source of emotional and spiritual support, which in turn, reduces recidivism and enables spiritual growth for all involved.

Missionary: Shawn Harmon

Shawn, a college friend of Abby McCubbin, has been preparing to serve in Refugee Ministry in Rome as part of the Presbyterian Church’s Antioch Partners. He will leave the US and arrive in Rome on June 1 for a three-year term. When meeting with Trinity’s Mission Committee, Shawn demonstrated passion and sincerity for this cross-cultural incarnational, mission. He seems uniquely equipped for this ministry.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

Brad and Toni Guderian have served in Papua New Guinea (PNG) since 1992 working with Koluwawa co-translators to translate and publish the New Testament and portions of the Old Testament into the language of the Koluwawa people. In January 2020 they came to the U.S. for a 6-month furlough but then the Covid lockdown occurred and then Toni was diagnosed with cancer. Toni is doing well with her cancer treatment but she is unable to return to PNG. Therefore, they have transitioned to remote staff on the PNG. Brad continues to work by preparing first draft translation for revision, and by maintaining contact with their Koluwawa coworkers via messages through the regional center. He is planning to make short trips back once PNG’s COVID restrictions and Toni’s health allow for that.
